Attack and Defence Stats
If you look at a player's stats on PES3 the first two are Attack and Defence, but what do these numbers actually mean? For example Raul has a higher Attack stat than Henry but Henry is an all round better forward. It's the same with some defenders, Samuel has a better defence stat than say Cannavarro but Cannavorro is better at heading. jumping etc all the things you'd want from a centre back. Can someone explain this to me please.

The Attack stat improves their positional sense, rather like "Off The Ball" in Championship Manager - it makes their movement and finding of space up-front better.
The Defence stat improves tackling - simple as. They will commit fouls less often and will get the ball more often. |
