PES 2010 Crowds aren't what Konami promised them to be?

Throughout playing the demo a lot and watching the new inter v real video posted today, when I saw the description for PES 2009 it said the following for the crowds:

Match-Day Atmosphere: Crowd reactions to the on-field action are now more varied, with all new chants and cheers. The subtle difference between Home and Away matches will be reproduced, and the crowd will react spontaneously to specific situations in a game, showing their disdain or pleasure as fouls are committed and goals scored. Likewise, the commentary has been altered to offer a fresher, more concise overview of the game.

I have noticed that the crowd does react spontaneously to specific situations in a game for instance when I make a great tackle and when I score goals or miss shots, but they say that the subtle difference between home and away goals will be reproduced however through playing the demo and watching videos whenever the away score the crowd seems to stay silent. Am I missing something here or will it be fixed in the real 'polished version' of PES 2010?

That is very true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! remember When every time you started a new master league the crowd would go crazy and do different stuff in each stadium!!!!! like big flags and flares and toilet paper being thrown around etc!!!!!! I agree with you the crowd does look better but it dissapointing how it does not react to the goals and plays like seabass said!!!

It did in WE demo, I go apeshit everytime I score in the demo, it really is great and I think it will be more polished in the final build

^The feeling and crowd reactions and noise is definately back, but I guess some expected more than that.

What I don't like though is the fact that when the away team scores there is no reaction from the crowd; I would like to hear the away fans celebrating when their team scores, adds a bit more tension to the game and also the game looks quite stupid with a silent crowd with goals for away teams, apart from that everything else is brilliant. FIFA 10 did a fantastic away celebration noise when their teams scored but just a little quiter than the home fans.

Has anyone who's played the demo a number of times actually hear any sort of away celebration when the away team score? I've only heard silence.

not really noticed the crowd probaly will be better in the final game but if u say u cant hear the away fans much isnt that sort of good as there are less away fans than home fans maybe depending if its a derby the away fans might sound louder

no usually at any match you will hear faint noises of the away crowd cheering, especially in premier league games it's just that in PES 2010 nobody cheers meaning that there are probably no away fans present (even though they are)

I find it realistic that you don't hear that much noise when the away team scores. Mostly there will be many more spectators that supports the home team in every game (since they get a lot more tickets available than the away team)
Because of that, i find it natural that the insatisfaction of the home team drowns the satisfaction of the away team, since they're stronger represented.
But let's see on the final game. I know that in England they go nuts (and it may be possible to hear an underrepresented away crowd) But let's see in the Premier League in the final game before we judge.. To be fair Seabass' comments were not regarding the demo though - only the final game..

Ofcourse it's realistic when you barley hear the away team supporters compared to the home team. I liked it. It's realistic.

I think the consensus is that you cant hear them at all... which isnt very realistic... some sort of quitened celebrations would be preferable... anyway, what happened to the select attendance & home/away/neutral lark... is the demo pre set to home and away or summit.

I find the crowds at home really great, but at away they are horrible

Konami tries to make the game most realistic as possible. You cannot expect great achievements every release... PES 2008, PES 2009... Well, let's all say there is major improvements in this year's game.

Why can't we just stick with the game, as beautiful as it is, instead of moaning on every "lacking aspects" ?

Try and explain that to me and dozens more.

In a way you are right, we should not moan on and on about something missing when Konami don't do what we want. However this time is the fact that they said that the subtle difference between home and away crowds will indeed be replicated in PES 2010.

Really s moot point to argue I mean they added more chants and the crowd will vary that other than that who cares
