How to chat online in PES 2010?

Hi, I got very trivial problem - I don't have any idea how I can chat/talk with person I'm playing online (I mean I don't know how to write to my opponent in Match Room). I searched this forum, but no one had similiar question, so I'm writing this topic, and I am sorry that I concern your attention with so dumb problem, but I couldn't find any solution. Thanks for any advice

you mean with the mic? I dont think you can! I play people and I could hear them but its all muddled up and can't make out what they're saying.

No, no, I mean chat via keyboard. I sometimes see that my opponent is writing to me before or after the match, and I don't have any idea how I can do the same and answer him ;/ I really think that this is a stupid problem, but I am out of ideas.

I think you press dow L3 or R3 If you're on PS3 and your keyboard should pop up on the screen.

While on the same topic, is there a way to turn off the audio chat from the other player? I also hear people's muddled talking sometimes when I play and it's distracting/annoying. Plus i can only imagine it hurting online performance and make the games more prone to lagging.

good question, this goes for other games too! I play NBA2k10 and a lot of the time the other player has music on or just speaks nonsense and its annoying. The good thing about PES is that you cant understand what they say because its muddled LOL! What I do is turn on my mic and just put it down so the sound of thier mic doesnt come out of the tv speakers and goes to my mic but this is just a work around obviously, if there is a way to turn them off it would be great!
