I figured it out.

Here's how to make sure the COM managers piss you off nevermore:

I'll use Luis Figo as my example.

When looking at Real Madrid's tourney or season stats, it is frustrating to see Figo as a role player coming off the bench. The COM managers aren't necessarily stupid, they are just one-track minded and lack the editing powers you and I have.

Figo is listed as an OMF. Solari, who I'm sure is a wonderful player and all, is in there instead of Figo as a *DMF*.

All you have to do, and this change will apply to the middle of your current season , is save, and fly back to your player edit option and change Solari's primary position to Figo's old one, and change Figo to a DMF. I would even go as far as to completely remove the possibility of the unwanted player staying on first team by removing his ability to play the position altogether.

And so on for the other roster mistakes........

And common sense tells me this will work if you change formations and other roster-altering things as well. Basically what I'm saying is, if you just can't live without seeing Figo as an OMF, then edit the formation to accompany another OMF, and just to be safe change Solari into a cheerleader or whatever just to be sure..

I haven't tried the latter method so don't hang me if it doesn't work.

I'm not pretending like this thread is as valuable as all the editing and patching threads, but I figured it would be of some interest to those whose brow furrows when they see Ronaldinho and Davids both coming off the bench for Barca in their ML.

But I see your point, and I'll just kill the other thread altogether. It's layin around unemployed like me.

By all means, it's good to have someone researching on how to get it as realistic as possible, but then again Ronaldinho and Davids are bound to be subs in games as well as any other player..
