Starting a ML with default players causes a crash

Hi, I'm using the PESedit patch, and this /might/ be the problem, but for some reason, I get a lovely CTD and nondescript error message when I start a new Master League, with the default ML players. Anyone else have this problem, or a fix for it?

Update: I just tried it without Kitserver attached, and got a C runtime error. Hope that helps a bit.
