What's your take on the recent stories involving Israel and Gaza that have been dominating the news?

I for one am appalled at Israel's behaviour. Don't they realise that these are HUMANITARIAN ships, trying to help out the Palestinians who are severely lacking in the most basic of goods due to Israel and Egypt's blockade of the Strip.

The aid ship's are in no way interested in helping terrorists in Gaza, and that's what the Israeli government seem to believe. Intercepting them, and bringing them to Israeli ports for inspection is utterly ridiculous. They are not war ships! The banning of cement from getting in to Gaza because it's a so called weapon is laughable.

The murder of innocent humanitarians was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. Now the whole world can see that the Israeli's are nothing but cold-hearted, murdering bastards.

If we don't help the people of Palestine, who else will? Certainly not Israel OR Egypt. World-wide comdemnation of the Israeli state has been long overdue.

It sickens me really... They, the israeli's afterward force the activists into Israel for some sort of tribunal and later charge them with illegal entry. They continually deny humanitarian aid for unheard reasons and end up attacking them and killing some in the process. why? because of the activists' malicious and dangerous approach. Honestly, what a pathetic arguement.

This is just another crime in what is a series of outrageous acts and stunts pulled off by the Israeli government whom continue to abuse palestinians without no stop. It's an absolute shame no decisive actions have been taken and with allies like the United States i wouldn't expect any anytime soon although God yes, condemnation is long overdue.

The hypocricy of the Israeli's is unbelievable. They board the humanitarian vessels in INTERNATIONAL waters, an act of piacy, then claim that they're taking it to an Israeli port to be checked, and from there the aid and the activists on board could proceed to Gaza. This is a lie, as they dock the ship, don't allow the vast majority of aid in to the Strip, then swiftly deport the activists.

Pathetic as right. The activists had a right to fend off the Israeli pirates as their vessel was in International waters. The Israeli pirates then opened fire, killing nine innocent people. The post-mortems said a total of 30 bullets had been found in their bodies. What an absolute disgrace.

Their good links with Turkey, one of their closest Muslim allies, are as good as severed now. Their murderous act of piracy will come back to haunt them 100-fold, believe me. Israel is and will continue to be the most shameful nation World-wide, as long as the blockade of Gaza continues.

I'm not even sure what to say...I resent Israel anyway. But, one must bear in mind, there's always two sides to every story, so I can't see the Palestinians being completely innocent in all these conflicts, albeit nobody's doubting that anyway nor is that an excuse to attack humanitarian forces.

However, the Hamas regime that took control of the Palestinian Government in 2007 have strong links in terrorism, and have carried out a number of terror attacks on Israel, arguably for understandable reasons as Israel treat the people of Gaza like dirt, for example, stealing Palestinian land by pushing the barrier inwards, and building houses etc on PALESTINIAN land just to gloat.

The Gaza War in 2009 was a disgrace. Although provoked by Hamas as they launched rockets into southern Israeli cities, the Israeli reaction was WAY over the top. In total, 13 Israelis and approximately 1,400 Palestinians were killed in the 22-day war. Shame on Israel, as the majority of the murdered Palestinians were innocent civilians, and a lot were defenceless kids.

I fully agree with you, and yes, I did mean the Hamas, and it is not right the Palestinians have to suffer for their misdoings.

In fairness though, there's only so much shit you can take. That's why Hamas seized control, as the Palestinians are angry at the years of mis-treatment from the Israelis. They feel the need to fight back, as the blockade has turned the Gaza Strip in to hell on Earth!

I agree with Zero. That's the problem, the blockade imposed by Israel. That's why Hamas started the bombing because of the atrocious treatment of the Gaza Strip as soon as Hamas took over, before a bomb was even launched in anger.

In that vein, it could be argued that it was the Palestinians who started it long before then.

I just think you've completely swallowed the media bias to be coming out with some of the things you are. This isn't about the numbers, its about who should have what. In the given instance alone ignoring what went before it, if country A attacks country B, who are you or I to say how far country B should go in retaliation? We have no vested interest in either country, we're people sticking our noses in when we should mind our own fucking business.

The attitude of Britain, the United States and a number of other countries sickens me and that too goes for the Korean situation. We need to pay attention but to constantly get involved and 'help' one side or the other shows just how much we're desperate to be liked and have control of everything as though we're right and other countries cannot govern themselves.

Look, to make a long story short, the Brits backed by the UN allowed a bunch of bloodthirsty European and American Zionists, back in the 30s-40s, to assault Palestine. Now tell me who's at fault here.
