The 'How are you doing in MLO' thread

Right, as I couldn't find a similar thread on the MLO on this forum I thought it be a great idea to start one. As it takes a while before you can buy some of the top players it would be good if we could share some of our cheap but good signings.

I have just started my MLO a few days ago and really like it. I never really bothered with the online componend of the previous titles because I put all my time in the ML offline. I chose Everton as my team which looks absolutely solid thanks to daymos' OF.

I released some of the expensive players and gathered enough money to buy Hulk and Cahill. I would recommend Hulk to everyone because he is immense on the ball, really hard to knock of and can produce some mindblowing shots. Cahill I'm not to glad about as he seems to lack the speed and balance to get himself in a good scoring position. I've been palying him as an CF so maybe he does better as an AMF.

After releasing some more players I bought Fellaini and what a cracker he is. I put him as a CF and he just keeps scoring. I just bomb the sides with Hulk and Castolo and cross the balls for fellaini to head them home. He has scored every game for me so far.

So far I have played around 10 quick matches, won 6, drawn 1 and lost 3. My most impresive win was against some guy who had sneijder, ibra and agbonlahor up front. I managed to beat him with 3-2 with Fellaini scoring the third goal from a bicycle kick in the last minute.

I did my first competition yesterday, won 6 and lost 2, but I came across a parasite who just scored 3 own goals to get the money. Thought I did pretty good but finished 221! Guess I need more practice with this new game. I'm looking for a new midfielder and dribbler. Anyone has a suggestion for some good and cheap ones?

So far so good. Been playing it for around 10 days now, only entered one competition so far.

First signing was Pastore, then I got Valeron but sold him in order to fund a transfer for Veloso.

Got around £700,000 left.

Overall record is 33 wins,, 6 draws and 4 defeats. In division 4, and definitely looking at promotion.

Doing pretty awesome, signed Quagliarella the first day. 2.9 million is a lot, but he's bringing it! 120 matches, 75 goals or so

Also got Zairi and Dirar pretty soon. From there I moved on to buy Legus and Gobbi, as AMF and DMF. CMF was pretty hard to find, I went with Valdo.

After that I bought my 2 best buys after Quag: Douglas and Rozenhal, both class defender with 185 cm height. No long pass comes through. Plus both are coming with my corners, and Douglas already scored 4 goals!
As backs I got Hempte (LB) and Oliviere (RB).

Since then I've been upgrading my CMF to Matuzalem and my AMF to Basturk.
Only a default keeper Ivarov, planning to release him soon.

I see no needs to buy new full backs, Ruskin and El Moubarki are superb.

Is there a way of making more money!? only had afew games and drawn them all and all the teams I play have real players! heard someone say if you release players you get funds!? only got 750,000 or summit shit like that lol

Im doing ok, started to win some games as I've found a formation that works with the players I've got. The only original player that makes my starting line up now is Ruskin. I have cashed in all the other original players and got some much better players in now.

Im loving the MLO, and I'm happy that the servers seem to be able to handle the play unlike previous years on Pro Evo. I've only had 1 laggy match so far.

You've got to remember that it takes your best 3 consecutive results.... so if you WWLLWDW... then it'll take the Win Draw Win results....

The 3-0 own goal thing is very annoying, but they get booted out if they do it more than once - and I think Konami may introduce something that means after one game like this they get booted. (And it gives you a win and lots of points and helps your goals for! But it is annoying).

OMG played 120 and scored 75!! I'll defo going to keep him in mind for whenever I have the money. When I get home I'm going to look at some of the players you mentioned since my team needs an upgrade.

Realeasing youre players nets you with their market value, so if you release a player whos worth 700,00, you get 700,00 minus a few bucks in cash to buy better players. Just release players that you wont use and/or some of the more expensive ones. A great way to gather some resources in the beginning. Carefull though, I releases rushkin cause I needed the money so have to play giersen now, an absolute disaster on the left wing

I have only played a couple of matches in MLO, not joined a ML yet.
Still have all my standard players but I know what to do now!

That explains the 221th place as I did this: WWLWWLWW.. Better luck next time, has anyone else noticed that it's quite hard to sign in to an competition. One moment the whole room is empty, three seconds later it's full. Didn't Konami count on us buying and actually playing the game?

I have been lucky and got into every tourney i have tried entering. just got knocked out in the semi finals of the D5 Cup, after losing 2-0 with 10 men. had a crazy run, but was helped alot by the idiots that kept doing teir own goal thingy (get a life boys)!! i have signed rustu in goal, and bought 2 strikers.. Remy and Cacau, recommend them both. got pace and a good finish

Do own goal idiots not get punished? Ridiculous! Although it is quite nice getting the money for a 1 min game watching my opponent score own goals!

Well you all seem to be doing a lot better than me. Only bought one player so far and that was Agi Pakirani as he used to always score for me in the previous PES's.
Have only played four games so far and lost them all, 4-0 to someone who actually had a load of good players so destroyed me, then 2-1 to Man Utd which was a bit annoying as they scored two in a minute to win. Have lost the other two 1-0 and one of those was because my keeper ran 40 yards out to a through ball in the 90th minute and gave the opposition an easy open goal.
Don't know if I'm just rubbish at the game at the moment or if everyone else is just really good but I am not enjoying losing all the time at the moment, hopefully I'll get my first win sometime soon.
