whats wrong with the tactics

i tried to use the tactics i previously assigned during the match with the L2 button with any face button but it doesnt work so can someone tell me how to do it

I read on another forum that they have replaced the L2 for Select button.

So it's now select + whichever button you have assigned.

Which completely annoys me! I can just about see the point of changing the skills buttons but this is madness! Its been the same for the last 10 years and worked well.
