Seriously? I know there's not much to discuss about, but what were Konami thinking when they gave PELE "just" 94?

Remember that the overall rating comes from all of his stats and reflects how good he is at the position he is playing. So, some of his stats may not affect his overall stat as much as you might think. If you have any specific beef, in other words, it should be with his specific stats, not the overall stat. For example, did they make him too slow, not strong enough, not enough skill cards, etc?

He played in Brazil at a time when they had the best teams and best players.

In those days South American teams, both national and club, pi**ed all over their European counterparts, hence why during Pelé's time, Brazil won 3 out of 4 World Cups with 100% home based players.

Uruguay won in 1950 with 100% home based players and Argentina in 1978 only had one foreign based player.

Pelé's club Santos also p***ed on European clubs when they met in the Iintercontinental Cup.

European football back then was not the force it is today.

Pele versus Maradonna is a debatable subject. But Romario???? Ronaldo????? Gee, not with you there.

Pele was a great player though, no doubt. 94 does seem low in my opinion, but again, don't just look at the overall rating because it is decided by individual stats and how well he was suited to the position he played. In other words, even if you assume Konami have all of his individual stats spot on, perhaps his overall rating would be higher in a different position (maybe more suited to WF, SS, CF, whatever), or... if Konami's criteria for what stats are important to each position were weighted differently.

yeah having said that.. I think careca < romario and they have the same stats... in the position he plays..

nobody finishes like romario IMO... he was thr best finisher I've seen play and I've seen ronaldo play...
