i would say you would need to go to create new player then base copy who you want then register them to your team

If you want to do it in the Master League, then you should try to unlock the expansion kits in the Extra Content menu - Start the game with maximum funds (£9,999,999,900), and the ability to sign the players you want. It's a lot of fun.
