hdmi issues?

Hi i have had a HD TV for the last 2 years but I recenty went out and bought a HDMI cable (1.5 speed) because my brother and my mates told me it was heaps better. Upon using the graphics now look next gen however went its zoomed out eg. edit mode or when i play long normal or wide it is as blurry as a night on the piss, does anyone now what could cause this?

How can I get rid of this heavy blur?

make sure you set you ps3 to display 720p in display settings. if you only select 1080p it will default to 480 and look blurry

Your HD tv should also have expert control/settings in the menu, here you can adjust horizontal and vertical sharpness which might help.
