Team Formation

Hi all,

Just started as an AM, decided to sign for Willem II because they gave me a 43% chance of gametime compared to others 10% (including Newcastle).

Played about 10 games and scored 5 with 2 assists (which should be 4 - why oh why does PES not register some assists? I directly pass to the striker, who takes a touch and scores, and still it doesn't register!)

Anyway, the manager started playing 4 - 2 - 3 - 1, which was fantastic because I was playing just behind the striker with two WF either side of me. For some reason, he has changed the formation to 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 - 1 which has NO WIDTH and 4 CENTRAL MIDFIELDERS and myself. In his tactics, he asks us to use the full backs - who never push forward! Even Jim Beglin says "They are missing a wide man" at the start of the second half. EVEN JIM BEGLIN!

The formation is literally

Why has the manager done this? I've been playing alot worse as a result, being subbed on the 60th and the team going onto lose (we haven't scored since). Whats worse is that he brings on ANOTHER CM - a DM!!!! - instead of me! You'd think we were playing the likes of Barca, United and Madrid away - but no - we're playing a home match to the bottom team.

Anything can be done about this? Or am I stuck with a manager with the tactical nouse of Rafa Benitez in charge?

Start ML and register your player as a member of your favourite team, then lock the cursor on your player.Now you're master and commander.

I had the same problem. Started for Willem ll as AMF as well. Eventually the manager changed the formation to 4-3-3 with two second strikers allowing me to be one of them (resulting in me being able to play the position after some time)
Not that the formation resulted in many victories but gave more width. Coudln't get my arse away from Willem soon enough!
