uA, my friend who supports Trabzonspor was raging at the result of the match fixing scandel which saw Fenerbahce cleared of any wrong doing and allowed to keep the title.

Seems like Fenerbahce have the Turkish Association firmly in their pocket.

They don't, evil ligtv does (broadcasting company). Everyone tried to sweep this under the rug but I don't think UEFA will let hem. Besides they punished a few Fener officials and 2 players from other teams for match fixing so this shit definitely isn't going to fly

So Porto won the League. Again

All in all it wasn't a bad season for us. Managed to finish ahead of Sporting, who "were going to fight for the title until the end" (), thus getting the opportunity to play in the Champions League next year. I must say though that being first with only six games to go (after 13 wins in a row!) only to lose two consecutive games against our direct opponents (Benfica and Porto) was just a devastating blow

All our players were brilliant this season, but I've to highlight Custódio (who deservedly earned a place in Portugal's squad), Lima (our top scorer, 27 goals overall and 20 in the league is one hell of an accomplishment in a team like ours), Márcio Mossoró and of course the man on my avatar, Hugo Viana, who was not only Braga's player of the season but also the best player of the whole damn league (might be slightly biased ). How could Paulo Bento choose Ruben Micael over him is a travesty, but more on that in the "Portugal" thread.

Next season can't come soon enough!
