PES 2012 'Not Becoming Like FIFA', Introducing Agents - Seabass
PES 2012 will be more satisfying to play and introduce agents to the series for the first time - but isn't evolving into FIFA says Konami producer Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka
"We're not becoming more like FIFA, which is an accusation that many had last time," he said during a Gamescom Q&A session. "We've moved away from that now and we're now leaning more towards the PS2 days. We're more focused on creating a PES game, rather than a FIFA game. The gameplay is now more satisfying, and you feel like you are actually 'creating' goals and building up each game." PES 2012's 'Become a Legend' mode will now feature player agents, too. "Our big change this year is the inclusion of your agent, who is a mentor to you. You have to pick the right agent for you and he will guide your progress. Your club boss will also give you challenges and missions. Doing well in these missions will help you progress through the game." Seabass confirmed that players will be presented with cutscenes where player and agent have dressing room conversations, attend press conferences and more. PES 2012 hits PS3, Xbox 360, PC and most other formats on 14 October. |

I think it's the only way to go for PES.
PES has always been it's own game and it doesn't make any sense to copy Fifa, because no PES Gamer wants anything like that. |

there no reason for PES to try becoming FIFA as FIFA used to copy everything PES had in last gen.
