[STATS] FM to PES 2012 Converter

Anyway onto some better news, below is a link to the all new converter that Vinnie has been working on. We would like you all to try it out & let us know what you think We know of a few errors but would like to see if there are any more before we change anything.

As will all converters they are best used as a guide, personally I compare converted stats to those on PSD to try & get a balanced outcome as well as personal knowledge of the player.

Dont you dare scuttle into here and tell us there's a copy right over a stats converter! Show me it! then maybe i'll show it to sports interactive and konami and the premier league etc etc!

if there is another converter in creation great! people can use the one they prefer! but dont start banging on about laws that dont exist.

paul and i both thought we (the community) needed a new converter so we made one! if truth be told ive never used the otegaz converter and had been working on a whole new converter before paul opened this thread. when he did we decided to work together.

besides where do you suppose the password came from to adjust the ortegaz original???

The converter is looking great! I just think that the PES section background should be cleaner (like the FM section), the game cover makes the design looks 'heavy'.

I also have some doubts: in the FM section, how should I fill the Striker part? In Genie Scout we have Fast and Target strikers. Also, what do I put in Free Role?

Oh, and I also saw one little mistake: in the PES section, in Short Pass Accuracy, the 74 value is green, when it shouldn't have any color like the game.

And one more thing: Ganso "Tries killer balls often", but there isn't a box for this option in the converter. Is that right? And isn't the Player Index section working?

Otherwise, great work guys! The converter is turning out amazing!

Edit: I tried to convert Diego Souza and he has a 112 Shot Accuracy and a 120 Kicking Power. And he didn't have a registered position too.

just had a little run through with it on a player and all i can say is... WOW! just wow.

you've done incredibly well to do all of this. i am so impressed and i am going to redo all my players because this is so comprehensive and from the player i've done, it's got all the positions i need, cards and styles are good.

the only question i have is how can i tick the preferred moves box because it is telling me that i can't.

when i tried this guy I got, Shot Accuracy: 80 and Kicking Power: 86

Have you been putting the numbers in right and not putting in 200 instead of 20? Either way I'll take a look at this and tell the excel file that a max value of 20 can be in-putted and no more!

for the positions use this screen from genie scout



you'll find free and striker etc in here! the good thing with this screen is that you only get the position the player could play in so you don't need to waste time inputting position scores for positions that don't matter to that particular player. Also youll find the preferred moves in here too.

I'll take another look at the rules on colours and adjust them, it gets complicated at 13.00pm when the numbers overlap rule by rule

Paul and i need to have a chat about the preferred moves, personally I think if we put them all on the converter and make them mean something then almost every player will have cards, we'll keep looking at this!

Ive changed the background on the PES page, could really do with some better ones. I've decided we need a GK page separately so need to find 2 suitable backgrounds, post up and ideas please people!!

Souza didn't have a registered position because the value of the Attacking Midfielder (Centre) and the Free Role are the same, this is where, for now at least, some knowledge of the player will have to come in. This one is easy because generally, the AM and "free role" are the same thing but for other players it will be different! Once testing is done and the file is released, there will be an instruction page to get through things like this but this is the point in testing, to find out what people need to know and what we need to fix!!

For now lower one of the scores of 20 to 19 and see what happens

oh and the player index section is working, jsut click on the white boxthe tick box is in.

any way the tick boxes should just be a case of clicking on the white box with the text in it. I'll check with Paul and see if he has accidentally protected the cells.

And yes, the cells are protected. There's no way to tick the boxes at the moment.

get the word passed around about this we need testers!!!

even if your mates arent on the boards get them on here and downloading or pass the file on to them we need opinions (HONEST AND REALISTIC ONES)

Looks like we got competition wanna make this work!!

This conversion guide will be a constant work in progress, so even once it out en mass we/i will continue to refine it, that includes the development of using it to decide what skill cards to give players and working out the development curve etc!!

I tried to do Mephis Depay (PSV Youngster) I got a defence rating of -13?!? and why isn't the imp. matches rating included in the converter (it's bit confusing cuz you have to skip one)

Edit: it's not clear how to insert the age (not a mayor point) genie scout uses for example 13.02.1994

edit if you searh pro evolution soccer 2012 on google images and only search large/big (don't know how that's translated) images. there are a lot of awesome ingame shots you could use as background.

I think i may have sorted that formula. You should now get a stat of Defence: 13 for that youngster you tried.

I was trying to be too smart by adjusting the attack/defence stats by position

Ok brilliant thanks mate, did you try the tick boxes? some are saying they wont work for them im wondering if its the setup on people's laptops/PCs..could also be that im using excel from office 2010 and the compatibility mode might not work for some
