Who would you buy for your club? (Realistically)

Just wondering, as the season approaches it's final stretch and we're either contemplating silverware or staving off relegation - thoughts inevitably turn to the summer's transfer merry-go-round. So if you called the shots and had your club's financial power at your disposal (so you can't say Henry if you're a Wolves supporter!) who would you realistically go for? (and release)

Here's my target list; (Manchester United)

Wesley Schneider - Ajax
Rafael van der Vaart - Ajax
Steed Malbranque - Fulham
Phillipe Mexes - Auxerre
Matt Upson - Birmingham.
Mikael Forsell - Chelsea/Birmingham

Mike.

Ronaldo and Rooney - Young, gifted and red!

MANCHESTER UNITED

D.Duff
Ayala
Viduka
Alan Smith
(maybe, but he is very dirty)
Robinho, i think thats how you spell it. Brilliant Dribbler

I've focused more, on the attacking area as they aint secure enough.

Viduka would come as he wouldnt want to play in the dv1
Alan Smith same reason ^, not only that but, viduka and smith know each other which makes things easier. (they wont need to gel as much)
Ayala cuz Rio is out and we could use a another defender while he is. Ayala is old so he wouldnt cost too much plus hes got plenty of experience.
Robinho ive heard good things about, plus i have him in MASTER LEAGUE and hes brilliant.
D.Duff i think he could secure our mid and attack abit, though i dont think he realy has a chance of coming. I have him on ML too and hes good

nice thread by the way!!

Chelsea:

- Sanchez Joaquin
- Cristian Chivu
- Mikael Forsell
- Andrei Shevchenko
- Ricardo Kaka

Sanchez Joaquin - A fast, attacking right winger. Can run at people and deliver a good cross, and is pretty injury tolerant too. Just what we'll need next season to counter-balance the threat of Duff and Robben on the left.

Cristian Chivu - Seeing as Melchiot is probably leaving at the end of this season (sadly), Glen Johnson's not quite the final product yet so we will need a reliable right-back with European experience, and can also cover at centre back as well.

Mikael Forsell - I know we have him already but I'd want to see him back at the Bridge next season playing regularly alongside our other strikers. Great touch, vision and finishing, would improve even more playing alongside Crespo etc...

Andrei Shevchenko - Jimmy's off this summer, maybe Gudjohnsen and Mutu as well. We'll need a prolific experienced goalscorer to replace them. Shevchenko has a great track record, superb finisher and could form partnerships with other strikers as well.

Ricardo Kaka - Every team needs a number 10 like Kaka/Nedved/Zidane etc... to bridge the gap between midfield and attack and be able to run and pull defenders towards him from the centre of the pitch. He turned us down to go to AC Milan last time, but maybe we'll be able to convince him this time around. Although I doubt AC Milan will want to sell off both Shevchenko and Kaka in one transfer window!

I do beleive he is Jonny. :confused:
Anyway it's been well documented that Rangers need an out-and-out goal scorer, so I think Nacho Novo would be an excellent signing. Massimo Maccarone could be a possibility as well.

Chivu’s favoured position is left centre back. He can also play left back and in the left of midfield. But he cannot play on the right.

Liverpool

Steed Malbranque: He’s proven in the Premiership and we’re in need of a right sided midfielder. He can score goals as well as get assists. Malbranque is intelligent on the ball and he’s also a joy to watch.

Christoph Metzelder: He’s tall, quick and is one of Europe’s most promising young defenders. He plays for a club that are in some financial difficulty, so the right offer might just convince Dortmund to sell.

Owen Hargreaves: He’s said that he’d be very keen to move to a Premiership team in the near future. He is a very good energetic footballer. He can play on the right and also in a defensive midfield role plus he always seems to give a 100% effort.

Seriously, though, resign Eugene Dadi and maybe Eoin Jess if he would just put some fuckin' effort in this time. And rummage around Partick Thistle for maybe James Grady. Or Livvy's Lilley?

wr50l has stepped out of the darkness into slightly less darkness

for Rangers;
out;
Mikel Arteta - £3-4m
Ricksen - £2.5m
Vanoli - payed off - -£100,000
Emerson - payed off - -£200,00
Capucho - payed off - -200,000
Nerlinger - being sold for £0m to anyone
Berg - retiring
R. de Boer - retiring
F. de Boer - retiring
Mols - retiring

around £110,000 of the wage bill

With all those clearances that give Mcleish around £6m to add to the £3m he has been given already. That makes £9m for the Summer.

in;
Boumsong of Auxerre (pre-contract to Rangers)
Kapo of Auxerre - out of contract
Said Boutaharr of a small Dutch club - around £500,000
McFadden of Everton - £2m
Nacho Novo of Dundee - £350,000
Prso of Monaco - £5.5m
Marvin Andrews of Livingston - free?

that's about £105,000 in wages so the wage bill would be reduced.

That would mean our total spending would be £8.35m

provisional squad;

.............................K los..........................
.......Hutton...Boumsong..Moor e...Ball...........
.............................. ..............................
............................Bo utaharr....................
.......Burke..........Rae..... ...........................

...............McFadden....... .........................
.............................. .....Prso....................
