I would say Alex Song is better.

Depends what you want from a Defensive Midfielder really. Song's better in terms of creativity, technique and is also physically stronger. Parker's better positionally, is more disciplined and more of a fighter, but is lacking technically. I'd say De Jong, Lucas and, maybe, Tiote are probably better than either of them

Tim Krull(Has been consistent throughout the season)

Collocinni(One of the main reason newcastle have been so good,its in the defence,9 times out of 10 the team with the best defence wins the title)

Laurent Koscielney(Improved immensely,has pace,defensive positioning,maybe the best tackler in the premierleague and also technically good enough to come out of the defence and feed the ball)

Kompany(We have seen how city have suffered without him,Mancini has openly said that)


Yaya Toure(same as Kompany)

Juan Mata(Brilliant fast season,chelsea's main creative spark and the stats say it all 13 goals and 18 assists in the 1st season)

David Silva(A playmaker people tell me is comparable to the likes of Fabregas,Iniesta and Xavi)

Gareth Bale(Tottemham's best player and reason for their early seson title challenge)

Rooney(Stable good season with no tantrums and injuries,already on 30 goals will probably break his own record of 33 goals)

Robin Van Persie(Best season ever for him with 30+ goals and 10+ assists,the best player in the league has scored against 17 different teams and can make it 18)

Aguero(Breakthrough of the year,just world class no two opinions on that)

And i am glad Alexix sanchez did not join manchester united,he is alreay better than anything they have bar rooney.

As DMF, Parker is better than Yaya Toure. When Yaya plays as a DMF, his impact on the game is much less as he is more of a creative player. Even as a powerhouse, his attacking flair is certainly better than his defensive work and is just way too eccentric to be a defensive midfielder.

I can't say, I haven't seen much of M'Vila but I've heard good things and would welcome him to the club. But the most exciting thing is that Song hasn't reached his prime yet!

Evans has a great chance of picking up a league title this year after easily being our most consistent defender and one of our players of the season.

Evans has certainly improved a lot this year and become a very fine centre-back, but I wouldn't have him over Koscielny.

Kyle Walker has won the young PFA player of the year award.

I remember reading an article recently about bookies no longer taking bets on him after lots of high figure bets were placed on him winning it.

Being English is always an advantage when it comes to young player of the year.

Would've liked to have seen Koscielny in team of the year but Coloccini was the only other defender I would've had in with Kompany. Dempsey ahead of Bale for me.
