The (seemingly) inevitable sacking of Ranieri at Chelsea is bound to cause some players to shift around.

I have a feeling Gudjohnsen will leave, at a very cheap price, because Abramovich wants big name players to be playing, and if a new manager comes in, Gudjohnsen will lose the faith. He could be a good signing for another Premiership team, he's a solid performer who's capable enough to play for most sides.

Michael Owen was today linked with a £12 million switch to Arsenal, but he doesn't play our sort of football. Having said that, if he did come, it would give Arsenal an added dimension - over the top to Owen, or neat passing triangles (as at present).

Apparently Robin van Persie has until Thursday to make a decision about the £3.2 million offer which Arsenal have made. Then again, we've also been linked with Steven Gerrard (who'll go nowhere, he loves Liverpool), Shaun Wright-Phillips, Jonathan Woodgate, Sebastien Frey, and a host of others. And that's just today's newspapers.

I'm getting that feeling too, Ivan just wants the worlds best at the Bridge, who cares whether the current players are good enough, especially with the releasing of Forssell today. You would've thought that Chelsea would be keen to keep him as he's been incredible for Birmingham this season. Instead it looks like Ivan's set on buying big in the summer rather than go with proven Premiership talent.

I'd like to see world class players at the Bridge, but I don't want an entire team of the prima donnas. I'd want Chelsea to rely on English players, youth system players as well as buying international superstars.

My predictions for Chelsea are...

Walter Samuel (Roma)
Sanchez Joaquin (Real Betis)
Vincent Kompany (Anderlecht)

The first two look very likely, Joaquin's already confirmed that Chelsea are negotiating with Betis, and Samuel is almost certainly leaving Roma in the summer and has asked to move to England because he wouldn't want to play against Roma for another Italian club.

Trabelsi and van der Vaart will also move to the Premiership I think. Probably for a top 5 club.

How the fuck did you spell 'transfer' wrong twice?

Anyway...

Not sure about any tranfers at the moment, Alex Rae to Rangers possibly.

Robinson - Spurs
Smith - Newcastle
Yorke - Qatar/America

You see, I heard it was Andy Cole who was going to USA to finish his career, not Yorke. Apparently NY/NJ MetroStars want him, but are coming under stiff competition from DC United. Yeah, right.

I think Andy Cole has said he would like to finish his career in the States but I really can't see any club over there being able to afford the sort of wages he would be after.

He may go there when his Rovers contract has finished but he certainly won't leave before because he's on a pretty hefty contract. There has been talk of clubs in Qatar and America coming in for Yorke, I think he's on a performance related contract at Rovers so he's probably only made about 50p this season.

Interesting:

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlin...298557&cc=3436

Although not entirely surprising. I simply can't imagine Becks coming back to the EPL. I don't think I coul dbear to watch it anymore if Beck's was at another team, especially Chelsea. The mere thought of it makes me retch...

As for Alan Smith...

http://www1.sbs.com.au/home/index.php3?id=45761

Not really surprising. Wholesale changes at Leeds when they go down? I think so.

ManUtd, well, a defence wouldn't go astray. We should try to lure Kolo Toure away from Arsenal :p Juuuust kidding.

Who are the prime candidates to take over for Murphy/Diouf and Hamann in midfield?

I need your European gossip. The only thing I ever hear about over here is the damage Kobe Bryant's penis has done.

Apparently, we're interested in signing Joey Barton and Shaun Wright-Phillips from Man City. They’re just rumours though, nothing concrete.

i think that most of the big names at leeds (i.e. Viduka, Smith Robinson etc.) will not be there next season.. as leeds have done a good job at pissing them off by hiring an agent to look for possible sale targets...
