Agreed, up close some players are hit and miss. But the wider view of them looks realistic, as they all move and run like real life. No slow down also helps!
Is there muddy kits on PES2008? I can't say I have noticed!
I think the weather and muddy kits add to the realism, certainly for us Premiership fans!
The player also look more realistic running and dribbling too. UNlike on PES2008, where they either run bolt upright without ever glancing at the ball or hunched over.
Shooting is easier than PES2008...
Played it at a friend's house at the weekend (the first FIFA I have played since probably '05 or something). I wanted to hate it. I wanted it to be rubbish, and still inferior to my beloved PES which I have stuck with since ISS on the N64. But I'm afraid it isn't. FIFA 08 is the game PES2008...
I heard a rumor that this has finally been achieved on the PS3. Apparently, the key is to use the game's Master League to save the kits, then erase them from your HD, keep adding and saving.
Has anybody tried this? Does it work??
Can it actually be done? I heard someone say only if the game can be transfered as an ISO on the PS3 HDD, then you could fiddle around with it. That was the last I heard!
In true next gen fashion, Konami have indeed allowed gamers to replace the worse video game soundtrack in history with their own.
Simply turn down the volume and put on your ipod. Works for me.
I was just wondering if everyone has given up hope on cracking the code for PES2008 laughable edit slots? I foolishly hoped that one of the patches may free up a few, after pressure on Konami from the fans but no such luck. I've seen a flashed 360 on youtube using full emblems and logos for all...
This video has popped up on youtube, which the poster claims to prove he has hacked the edit features on the 360 version of PES2008. Personally, I'm not convinced. It looks like the PC version to me which he's trying to palm off. Hope I'm wrong and the video is genuine. I'm a PS3 owner myself...
Nope. Yet another masterstroke from Konami.
But the good news is, you can edit the music tracks and stick your face on one of the players to make it feel even more unrealistic??
Also, I'm a bit confused by this. On Konami's website they clearly claim that many teams can be created with faces...
The way the game plays (lagging aside) I have no problem with. What I think ruins the game is the crap presentation, which makes it feel like the first football game Konami has ever made. Bad menu's, suicidal music, shit edit options and not one fucking English stadium!? How can you make a game...
And spoke to their technical department. I asked when the PC patch would be joined by the PS3 and 360 patches, to which the man said he didn't know in a rather stroppy manor. Giving me the impression this is the 100th time he's had to answer this question since last Friday.
I asked what they...
