Does it matter where players can actually play and where you choose to play them - does it effect their performance eg. if i play torres rb will he be the same or worse? I dont want to play torres rb btw.

i have pes 2008 on ps2 and i made some edited teams by editing players in the team A, team B etc. bit. when i started a ml i noticed that these players were included but i dont want them to be because some of them are like super players. does anyone no how to stop them from being included...
