There is no actual patch as such for consoles regarding classic players. You need an option file from the 'Completed Files' area on this site. Check through them and find one with all classic players & teams unlocked and renamed. Im sure some have this included so have a look through them...

I agree that it'll probably just be those 2 teams (Man U & Liverpool). If not, just 2 licenced prem teams anyway. Im pretty sure Liverpool will be licenced though as Torres is shown in the teaser trailer wearing a Liverpool kit. You know it'll be the same old deal unfortunately :(

No..Konami will never release a patch that corrects all of this themselves as it would cost them some serious cash but if you go to 'Completed Files' and download and install one of the great option files here everything will be sorted out for you regarding player names, team names, team kits...
