yes it is recommended that you make sure your hard drive is defragmented before installing any games that take up some space like PES. I run O&O Defrag 2-4x a month depending on how active my filesystem has been.

oh and tackling isn't that annoying, if you do it right you can get the tackle in with no foul but you cant just be sprinting and just blindly tackle like you can in fifa

fifa 98 was the one with the most realistic gameplay good one to go out on :)

are you running the game from the same os you installed the game? which os are you running it under? NTFS or FAT file systems? Your system should at least get it running, might be slow in spots but should run!
