More complaints. Loose balls are a major issue. Whenever a ball is loose the teammate AIs just don't respond, and it's hard to navigate players without the ball to actually retrieve it. If I shoot the ball and it hits the opposing goalie, that player retreats rather than chasing the ball again...

I played exhibition for a while using a team I created, then tried the CL mode. Weird things started to happen after I made the knockouts. Very predictable.

Been doing that, though not extensively. I'm starting to get the hang of it... Don't really know how to describe it, it's a "feel" thing, surely. Still kinda broken, but at least I can try crosses more frequently than before.

Is there any setting to command players to trap loose balls automatically? We have those settings for passes, shots, and clearances, but I don't see for simply trapping the ball. I need this because players seem to be very averse to actually get the ball. Whenever they have the chance they...

Yeah, I imagine this is a nightmare to code, but this problem seems to get worse than the previous years, doesn't it? If it can get worse, it can get better. At least we know it can get sorta-bearable like PES 2010/11. Own goal, this.

I've not tried the press 2x thing, but early crosses do help quite a lot. With players racing towards the goal while doing it, it adds the much-needed power to actually squeeze it in. Finished one ML season just a few days ago, and I can honestly say that I've scored less than five headers...

I've been relying on headers a lot in 2009-11, and it seems like they're far less effective this year. Notably, whenever I try to score from crosses, they will always head the ball very high... and very softly, too. Is it the change in headers or in the crosses? Or do you need to press...

Off the pitch, the one biggest failure is definitely the training system. Like the now dribble-friendly gameplay, it's clear that PES is now catering to casual gamers who don't give a flying toss to player development. At the very least we should be able to choose between the old and new system...

Having this problem too. I tried to make the face FACE00n.bin but then it said the file is corrupted. Tried something called the Ultimate Editor but that one apparently import/export by using a .txt file. This is in PC. Halp.

Hahaha, I did that too once in 2009's BAL, taking out certain points and transfer it to other stats. It's all fine, but to be nitpicky, it's not the exact same base pool, really. Some stats are better than others, depending on how you play. Some are definite cheats, like emptying the 50 from GK...

Bah. I really loathe how my team becomes artificially disorganised in cup finals. Gaping holes in defense that weren't there before, and never winning physical tussles. (And before people judge me as only moaning about losing, I am not losing the game. It's just annoying, that's all.)

I use only 3 defenders, and as such I want those 3 guys to move as close as possible to the goalie. I use 0 on the team style's backline depth, but still they frequently move forward. Team has four guys up front and a third of my centre-backs thinks it's a good idea to try to attack himself...

Yes if you use full backs I can see him there unmarked (unlike the rest), but I rarely play with full backs...

I never bothered with this before, but is there any way to place a guy next to your taker in set pieces (aside of penalties of course, no Cruijff-style PKs yet), so you can have a 100% chance of successfully short pass him?
