Lay off Free Kick, ruined on xbox

Okay, I just got pes4 on xbox and its great. No slowdowns, super fast loading, more responsive passes. But theres one thing that really annoys me. On the ps2, If I get fouled just outside the box.. I like to do a lay up shot for the free kick. You do this by pressing select to have 2 players to take it, then tap right analog and shoot with the other player.. and BOOM! scores 90% of the time :)

BUT.... this cannot be done on the xbox. I have no idea why, but on the xbox when you tap the right analog, it automatically switches to some other player.. somewhere else on the pitch.. who has absolutely nothing to do with the stupid free kick! Is this a bug or is it a fix by konami coz they found out that the lay up shot makes it too easy to score? either way, it sucks.. coz people are always amazed when I score those type of free kicks against them as it looks awsome.

Anyone else got the same problem? know how to fix it?...

oh and... I WANT MY R2 BACK..........

This is the xbox we're talking about right? When I use henry as primary kicker, and bergkamp as secondary. After I tap right analogue it swtiches to pires who is in the middle of the penalty box.. it then switches back to henry only when he touches the ball.

Works fine for me, although i like to place those free kicks in the top corner without the tap :p

i get the prob (on live) that the player wont hit the ball first time after you lay it off from one of these free kicks. Is this the prob you mean? Cos you could do this in the ps2 version easy, i find it quite annoying. Gone are the days of laying it off ready for scholes to smack it (first time) for 30 yards, sniff.

*sigh* I just spent the whole afternoon trying to do what had been so easy for me on the ps2.. I can make it work sometimes (2/10) 8/10 it'll switch to someone who has nothing to do with the free kick.. could it be possible that they tweaked the game alittle before releasing it in new zealand? coz the release date for us was 6th dec, about 2 weaks later then all of you.

Yes. I think thats the same problem im experiencing. When I first learnt how to do it I was praising konami for putting this feature in the game. But now they've gone and screwed it up again.

If your game was different to ours then you wouldnt be able to play us on Live

its a funny one, I used to be able to hit the ball 'first time' from a layoff in the ps2 version everytime, just wont let you do this on xbox live, dont know why.

maybe you're pushing the analogue stick in a direction (slightly) at the same time as clicking it, so you're doing a weak manual pass (towards Pires)....i think the Xbox sticks are supposed to be more sensitive than the PS2 pads....
i'm not sure, but can you turn off manual pass in the options? if so, you could try that (if you don't use manual pass that is).

Yeh. that might be possible, I'll give it a shot. But also, you know how when you team up with your friends, in the ps2.. if you pass to someone, the next person you pass to is your friend. But on the xbox, you keep passing to yourself, until you pass to a player selected by you friend. So that might be where the problem is from? Coz it seems like konami tweaking the passing system which might have caused that bug.
