Sorry if these have already been asked, I did a search and couldn't find the answers.
I've seen a few people playing online with patched discs, mostly people with players transfered to different teams. Being a Cov fan I was wondering how easy it was to play with Coventry online.
I'm about to buy a Swap Magic so that sorts out the chipped PS2 side of things and I've got a DVD Burner so I've think I'm pretty much set up. I've also got a Max Drive but I don't think this is needed.
I've just got a few questions if someone could kindly answer:
A) Is it actually possible to play with a completely edited team, i.e. new players, new kit, new team name online with PS2?
B) How does it actually work? I ask this because surely for the opposing team it loads their default option file and so they would not see the changes of my disc.
C) Is there anyway of converting an edited option file into a default file that is loaded on the disc. I ask this because I don't want to use a different editor to edit the files in the game and there are normally errors in ones I download.
D) How easy is it to actually change the files in the game. I've looked for tutorials on this but I can only find ones to apply ready made .ppf files and I want to do my own.
E) Is it dangerous to get the DNAS working properly. I've heard that if you get it wrong Sony can find out and cut off your central station name and stuff. I don't know if there's any truth about that though.
F) Is it wrong or cheating to do this? I'm not gonna make and super statted players, I just want to play with my favourite team online, and probably only against my friends anyway.
