Action Replay Max (instead of MAX drive)

I've got this from GAME but it doesn't come with a USB connection, instead you need blank cd's. I have a burner. Can I use this form of MAX?

Well , I've got the Action Replay MAX from a Game shop. It' supposed to be better than a MAX drive, but I'm not sure how to use it to get the new Pro Evo 4 option file with all the new kits etc from the Action Replay MAX to my PS2?

It's seen here at www.codejumkies.com but does it work for this?
