advice for PES newcomer

Since I'm a newcomer to PES, I wanted some advice on I can get used to game (I have FIFA 09). I've started playing the demo and I'm trying get used the buttons, the play etc. I won't be getting the game for a couple of weeks. What do I need to know to get started? Also, can you tell me about the option files? From what I've read on the forum, it looks like you can do some many things. I saw the Von Option File for PlayStation 3. It looks like something I'd like. Thanks:unsure:

To get an option file on your game you can download one from this site, then open the files using the winrar programme (which is easily downloaded), from there you need to save the files on a USB flash drive, place the files in a folder titled "SAVEDATA" and then save this file inside another called "PS3" (so that the PS3 will recognise the data", from there plug the USB into the PS3 and copy the data to the PS3 drive. As for getting used to playing the game, the best bet is to start on top player mode in the Champions League with Cluj or Helsinki lol.

How do you like the Champions League mode? Do you play FIFA at all? Do the option files make that much of difference?

Champions league mode is very cool, and yes, option files make a big difference, Dont have one myself though, I decided to do all my own editing this year as I wanted to make all the SPL teams, plus I had already done quite a bit when the first really good option files started to show up and didn't want to lose everything, but the guys on this site whip up some excellent files for sure, everything will be done such as realistic kits and emblems as well as names being correct, makes a huge difference. As to your question about FIFA I'm not a huge fan, I do think this years is a lot better than previous versions and I play it online, Its actually pretty good when you get used to it, and the graphics and atmosphere are pretty superb, but for gameplay it has to be PES.
