Hi, i'm having trouble with AFSExplorer. I donwloaded the Schalke 04 stadium and a boot pack from PEScorner. I was going to attempt to add these to my patched game but i'm not sure how you must do this. Help would be much appreciated. :)

You should have downloaded 2 files for the boots, shoes_ee_tex.bin and shoes_gs_tex.bin, you should replace these files with the same files in AFSexplorer, you can find the shoes (first open your data_x with AFSexplorer) in:
*020Boot.afs/020Boot_1.afs/020Boot_1_pl.afs/020Boot_1_pl_tex.afs/ 2 options from there 1) 020Boot_1_pl_ee.afs there you can find shoes_ee_tex.bin replace it with your downloaded shoes_ee_tex.bin 2) 020Boot_1_pl_gs.afs there you can find shoes_gs_tex.bin and replace this one with your downloaded shoes_gs_tex.bin. Now you have imported the boots.
*For the stadiums you can find those in 120st.afs then you should replace the file with the same name as your stadium. But I dont know which files you downloaded so.....

Hope this helpes, good luck!

U should open data_E. The Data_E, F, G and S are for differnet languages.
English French Getman and SPanish I guess.
The X just means what language it is.
So if yours is english it is dat_e.

Try to download the files again, seems that you have downloaded corrupt files.

ok what you've said is working but now i must use the rebuild function to make more space, must i hit the "Regenerate AFS" button or not?

Yep, you get a regenerate message once the files you want to import are bigger then the excisting files in AFSexplorer, so AFSexplorer is making more space for your files, so AFSexplorer is creating a new data_e.afs (=regenerating) with enough space to import you downloaded files.
You see? So just regenerate, open the new data_e.afs (probably called data_e_new.afs) and then import your shoes.

Good luck

You have a new AFS File succesfull created by Regenerating right?? Thats what you are saying in your PM.

oh yeah baby, this thread rocks :D
to import your shoes:

1. extract the data_x.afs from the image
2. open AFS Explorer3, check all 3 AFS loading options in configuration menu
3. load the extracted data_x.afs in the Explorer
4. go on file->update, overwrite your old file, uncheck "ignore descriptor lenght" in configuration menu
5. load this updated data_x.afs into the Explorer
6. import the new shoe_ee_tex.bin and shoe_gs_tex.bin, if there´s not enough room the tool asks you for regenerating, click ok
7. create a new size_x.afs using the filesize plugin, the little green icon at the top
8. import both, the new data_x.afs and the new size_x.afs into the image with CDMage, if it asks you for padding with zeros click ok
9. scan this image with CDMage or ECCRegen, rebuild corrupted sectors if necessary
10. burn

Like Jim always says: Come on, it ain´t rocket science

I followed the guide to importing kits and ahve done that succesfully. I altered all the kit sizes over 100000 to about 90000 and it worked fine. When i go to import boots it keeps coming up saying there is not enough room. How do you get these boots to import?? Do you alter the file 020boot_1_Pl_tex_Gs.Afs so it can hold more?? please help

btw I think files from PESCorner are for the PC Version, so if you download a stadium from there and import in into the PS2 version it won´t work
