I've been registered for a while now but have only posted a couple of times, so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a huge pro evo fan, been playing since ISS 98 ( I think it was) on playstation. Got a demo with Official playstation UK mag, some 'station' disc or something, it allowed you play half of a 5-min match between france and brazil, was immediately hooked, just loved it, had FIFA 97 at this stage and that was just blown away, I preferred to play a 2 ½ min demo over and over rather than play fifa again (although fifa 99 (best one) did get a bit of play), but the demo was just unbelievable, playing thru balls to Ibrahim Ba
(white hair) and of course Ronaldo, my favourite players off each team. It was just a breath of fresh air. What ever happened to those beautiful thru balls, they've never been quite the same although I hear they've improved for the next one, or what happened to the way you used to be able to score reverse crosses that would loop up over the GK into the far corner. Ah the memories, I hope that freshness is back for the next game, I hear it's like playing a different game, looking forward to starting anew with a clean slate and learning the game all over again. Just hope it's up to scratch. I know from posts read that WE8 has its knockers, I never buy WE's but Hopefully Konami will come thru for us in October with PES4. Have both PS2 and XBOX, so will probably get both versions tho not sure yet if I will get broadband and XBOX live. Would probably be worthwhile to play against others not only in Pro Evo but also with Halo 2 coming out, LIVE could be the place to be. Multiplayer Pro Evo has never been my strongest suit, can suss out CPU attackers but cannot defend for SH*T when player other humans so if I played against the likes of you guys I'm sure this weakness would be exploited going by how good a lot of you "CLAIM" to be. I'm sure LIVE will separate the Wheat from the Chaff, to use a Victorism. Only time will tell. Getting a little bored of PES3 so no.4 cannot come along soon enuf as far as I'm concerned. That's all for now, but I will post soon what I would like to see from Konami in future installments of the greatest footy sim ever to grace our black boxes (or whatever colour yours is). Some of you guys have already made some interesting suggestions, hopefully if we can draw Konami's attention to our GOOD ideas we can bring the game as close to perfection as is humanly (or dwarfishly) possible.
