BIG players as DMFs

have u all tried placing big sized players as dmfs, eg. lambers from fc groningen or mark crossley from fulham. though they have lousy stamina n their speed is not really comparable with the true dmfs( btw they r goalkeepers),they make pretty gd dmfs...probably cuz of their size n height(though height not so much, got many dmfs who r taller). but u really needa use L2 quite a lot to try prevent theem from going up to attack too much.(or their stamina depletes real fast) anyways...try using them(think can last till bout 70th min, b4 stamina almost finishes)

wat do u think? can they really function as dmfs?

Haven't tried playing goalkeepers in midfield yet, don't think they'd do a good job if they have to be replaced in every match. Will give it a try though.

playin gks as dmfs does work to an extent
esp. lambers just make him charge at an opposing attacker...i made veron get yellow injury---stretchered off straight. never came back!
nothing happened to my lambers though... no cards

GKs as DMs is not a good idea. GKs have crap technique and the ball bounces of them too easily, making it easy for the opposition to gain posession. Good tall DMs are:

Vieira
Gerrard (although I prefer to pay him as CM or AM)
Motta (Barcelona)
Jarosick
Van Bommel
Edu

But my favourite DM in PES history if Dejan "The Man" Stankovic. He can play pretty much every game in a ML season. I also discovered Kallstrom is great too (after some development).

but really, dont u guys understand wat i mean?
have u actually tried it out?
im not telling u to go attack with the gk.
all u do is to let them chase after the stray balls or opponents.
i mean...i dun think the fastest player in the world can get past lambers...
personally thats wat i think...but think about it.as long as when say martins is approachin u,the dmf,all u need to do is retreat slowly n wait for him to make a mistake b4 chargin up n snatchin away the ball...
just square off against the player himself...dun let him get past u...
simple as that.n some food for thought...do u think its seriously easy to run around someone much bigger than u?(imagine david vs goliath) u tink david can get past goliath if goliath din wanna let him?
and as for the technique part...true,they have poor teknik but wats it like havin the biggest player in the game as ur dmf? ur anchor? ur cb? this will definitely intimidate even say viera...kallstrom...watever...
of course im referrin to the in game play

another thing

have u all realised by now that diff players have diff weights even for the same height...n this directly affects their abilities to some extent.
let me cite an eg.---rooney
given his all rounded and close to fantastic stats,u must tink his one of the best players in the game right? wrong. he sux in the game. his gameplay abilities and his stats do not match. reason, his weight doesnt suit his height.
have u all tried usin some unknown player but found them easy to use?
yup...they probably weigh lighter hence they can turn more sharply.(this doesnt mean their agility is high though) ive seen players wit agility ard 70 dribbling like i tot they were 85 at least...go check em out...theres quite a few at corse sud
