So I let my brother borrow my copy of PES3. He then proceeds to lend it to two of his buddies which it then gets returned to me scratched to hell and WITHOUT a case! I mean WTF, who needs a PES3 case....? Anyway I go to play it and it says disk missing, insert correct disk. Stupidly assuming it was my install that was messed up and not the buggered up disk, I go on to uninstall and reinstall the game. But whats this? A certain file cannot be found, make sure the file is present. OK then. Ah there it is on the disk. I try again. Whoops same error. Ok then, don't panic, I'll copy the disk to my Hard Drive then no biggie. Whats this, the same file the install doesn't think is there, now windows can't copy it! Bastard. Ok no need to panic yet, I'll go wash the disk. No luck, same error. In my desperation, I go to try and install the game in another language (uses a different file), hey presto, it works in French. Needless to say I am royally pissed off and my brother will be getting a kicking. However this doesn't help my knackered copy of PES3.
/Rant.

So there is a question in all of this people. Is it possible to change the language of the games text (not the commentry, I realise the files for it are massive)? I will suffer and play the game in French if need be, but I'm pretty sure there must be some way of getting French text for the menus etc. I appreciate any input on this at all.

Cheers.

(What a 1st post eh? )

go buy the game and if you already have, as you claim, then contact Konami about a replacement disk, however I think I smell something

I sent Konami an Email last night but haven't heard anything back. Already ordered my replacement from www.gameplay.com anyway. So I now own two legit copys of PES3, great.

I'll be Ebay-ing the scratched DVD with some pics which I'll post here since you think that I have a copyed copy. Somebody somewhere will buy it. I shouldn't have to buy a fcuking game that I already own but I'm doing it anyway.

Thanks for the lack of help btw, I would have never thought of buying another copy....

you should have just returned it to Konami for a replacement

Can't be arsed waiting for them to get back to me, then waiting (and paying for) the shipping for a new disk. New one is on the way anyway.
