Complete signing your master league players

I like the fact that you can sign all the players you want for your Master League team before playing the first match. If you choose "Create Original Team", you can get rid of the current Master League players (i.e. Ivarov and the rest) and sign your favourite players. I didn't like having to wait ages to sign players.

Do any of you guys think it's a good addition?

P.S. This is the first thread I've ever started (on any forum), so appoligies if it's under the wrong section.

Well i don't like the ideas of signing all your favourite players before you even start as then it kinda defeats the purpose of buying and selling players in Master League.

I like to start with an average team i.e Rangers with match mode players and then build around the original team as it's more of a challenge and more realistic IMO.:)

Do you mean you can just sign anyone you want? This doesn't seem possible given the money you get at start etc. I know you could sign 3 players before on the earlier games, is that what you mean? Either way, I think it is rubbish and that for the real challenge you should start with the dross.

I'm thinking of starting a ML with a team that would consist of the lower end of my fav players, players that I like but who are really cheap (and young for the most part). That way, it will be pretty much as challenging as it would be with the original squad, but I'll have a team full of real players to start with.

I do want a challenge but i want it to be as realistic as possible thats why i start with the current squads;)

I accept that people want realism and it is definately the case that starting with match squads is realistic. It isn't, however, as challenging. Nor is starting with your fave young players. These guys probably have waaaaay more upward potential than Ordaz etc do and by playing with them from the start you will be maximising that so that by the time you get to Div1, they will be way better than they would have been when toiling on the bench elsewhere. Play the game your way, of course, but the ultimate PES5 challenge is 6* with the dross you get in the Minanda, Libermann etc etc team.

What?

Are you saying you can "choose" around 23 of your favourite players (or more) and put them straight into your new team?

I never heard of this before.

I never heard of this before.

:eek:hmy: ..I never knew this either?
I remember the previous game you could replace 3 chosen players.. but i also remember the players you picked duplicated too!.. This was really annoying.. like I'd sell Minanda and have further salary points. .. get someone like Mascherano from River Plate and when you start ML theres two Mascherano's.. which is kack!
So does this still happen?.. if i replaced the ML default players with 22 of my own i.e beckham, ronaldinho theres gonna be two ronaldinho's and two beckhams.. or have K fixed this problem as well.. ?

Yeah that's what I mean.

Howvere, I did miss having to try to buy players. So, I just get the players I can improve first, then I try to buy the older players.

yes thats right but you cant pick all the best layers because you still have to worry about your wage bill, so you have to be careful

It's not as easy as it sounds...

You can buy and sell any players at the start BUT your players aren't very good so you have to sell about 5 players to get 2 good ones meaning that you will only have a 1st team and when your playing your first match and Ronaldhino's on a grey arrow, you're ****ed.

This was included in PES4 as well remember, its not really called an addition.

But yeah, I agree. Its a good option.

Get the youngsters from the beginning and make sure they are rated 6.0 or above after each game to ensure that they exceed their original growth curve by a good margin, and they usually do. Young players playing for COM teams do not reach 6.0 on average, even in 6 stars, which means they lose potential growth curve improvements . If your goal is to create the strongest team possible, don't let your youngsters off your radar, not even in your first season. Go for it.

These are the players with the Highest growth curves in the game, but please don't make this thread another name throwing fiesta, this list is concrete:

CFs:
Babel>WF
Fernando Torres
Farfan >SMF

SSs:
Rooney> CF&WF
A.Smith> CMF the eldest here but lasts long enogh to add to his curve
C, Ronaldo> SMF
Bojinof> CF&WF
Baumjohan> SMF

CMF:

Cesc Fabregas
Iniesta
Dagaka> SB

SBs:
Sergio Ramos> CB
Retro Zeigler
Motta> CB

CBs:

Koltari

GK:
Cech
Marshal
Akinfeev

These are 17 years old fantasy players to add in the 2nd season or after:
