Could it be that 09 and 10 was just a "tool" to stand-in for 11? They might have already began development for 11 a few years back as a major makeover will probably take 2 -3 years, therefore 09 and 10 sees only minimal improvements and a few tweaks. Aesthetically wise, 10 saw quite an improvement which might be intended to serve as a base for 11. There goes to say 09 is 10 are actually considered as beta builds of 11.

I don't buy that story sorry, although PES11 looks promising I simply cannot believe that they worked on this for 2 years. They said exactly the same about PES10.
I just hope and pray that 360 degree movement and passing is actual 360 degrees and done decently this year...it was terrible last year and clearly a last ditch effort of panic because Fifa had it.
If they can just impliment the same fluid 360 degree movement that fifa has then PES11 will be leaps and bounds better than PES10.

As R9NALD9 has said, I really wouldn't buy the Konami story of having worked on this game for the past 2-3 years. It genuinely sounds like nonsense to me, especially after they claimed to have been working on PES2010 while actually being in the process of creating the previous PES2009. They probably thought of a front cover and considered that to be developing work on the next installment.
Honestly, after being a PES fan since 1998, I don't take anything Seabass says seriously anymore unfortunately. It's a shame really, but he and Konami are clutching at straws at the moment and they're caught in two minds. They need to satisfy their home region of Asia with fast, arcade-like football, while the western world wants a real experience and simulation. PES2011 may have introduced this old/new gameplay speed bar but that won't change the gameplay itself completely of course.

I am also very critical of Seabass and his lies and promises. I too do not believe their was any development on any of the previous titles until the last one was released. The poor status of the games surely reveals that.
I also do not believe there is or was a "200 man sky blue" team that is currently working on PES12 either. These are just gimmicks to keep us pasted to these forums for any news that sounds promising.
Although Konami has opted to remain transparent to journalists during this years' development, i believe its 1 year too late. My optimism has been depleted and so have many others. I was honestly impressed by the first Messi trailer. Movements looked great but after seeing the other vids .....:angry:
The rumour last year was they where working on 10 from 08 and 09 was a stop-gap, it makes sense because 09 was much worse than 08. Now i dont particulalrly buy into that myself its obvious 09 was a step towards the brink and 10 has been an improvement, but i dnt think konami risked there name and whole franchise by releasing two bad games in a row becuase they where working on a new better game, so i certinely dont belieive they spent three years working on 11. It also doesnt stand in good stead for them that it took them 3 years to make a better game, a game were yet to really see much of.
Quite frankly they have been utter tripe since next gen consoles have been around. The ps2 versions have kept me occupied while the crap on ps3 kept coming out year after year.
I have no reason to beleive that Pro will finally be restored to its former glory's but there is a frank admission from Seabass that pro up to know on next gen consoles has been truly wack.
Whether they have learned from it time will tell.....................

its sounds like a poor excuse covering up for their failures in the past few games. anyway did i hear the same thing last year about pes2010? perhaps they should have skipped a year to really rebuild the series and hopefully bring it back to its former glory, but of coarse they would loose out on money by not releasing their annual game and we couldnt have that could we
