Just curious as to what the difference is between WE7-8 and PES3-4?

Is one better than the other or is it just for different regions?

Which one would you reccommend?

PES4 is the latest and most up to date game with (mostly) more features in it.
PES4 is the way to go.

So what's the advantage of Winning Eleven 8? Why would Konami even release the game if it's just a limited version of PES?

It's actually the same game!! WE8 is for Japan only(maybe also on US) while PES4 is for European Contries!!
