do you mean in ML or edit mode?

sadly Konami have left us with no option to release players from their contracts in EDIT MOde!! Meaning you can only transfer claudio Lopez for example to ANOTHER team in the game, you can't release him an make him a free agent though which is stupid.

its a shame really because the only way you can let them go is to wait until there contract expires, maybe in PES5 they might have a way of putting them onto a transfer list?

in Master league you can put them on a tranfer list, i think it's the second option in My Team in ml menu, they put a Black square at the side and later other teams make offers for him.
But i wanted to know about edit mode thanks
