i downloaded dvdscan2 yesterday and after unzipping when i tried to launch the program it came up with:

Component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

The help file said i may need some VB 6 files for the program to run. What to do?

Try searching for the missing file on the net somewhere or the download location. Try re-installing it also.
