Editing PES3 manually after or before burning to CD?

I wanna edit my PES3 and add all the kits, adboards, balls, music and transfers and name changes myself manually using various editors. Do I start editing the DVD image after it was copied straight to HDD or after it was ripped and I got my Soccer3.iso? Or do I follow the instructions in the Beginners guide to patching and then edit my image?

Rip it using the guide up to point 16. Then you can apply it manually. The best patches are around and will save you alot of time if you download them.
