Ok, here`s a game called Football Kingdom made by Namco. As we all know Namco is a good company also from Japan and they came out with a new footie game called Football Kingdom - Trial Edition. Now, Trial Edition means that Namco has just re-entered in making Football Games, it doesn`t mean it`s a demo or anything like that, it`s a full original version. The game costs around $49 US dollars on Play-Asia.com and release date is today May 27th. From what I`ve heard the gameplay is better than WE or PES. Graphics are good, and especially the nets movements.. On EWO-WEB and on another boards people are VERY impressed with this game, and believe that it`s much better/deeper than WE or PES games, yes including WE7I-J. A good friend of mine says it`s much better than WE, you get free passes , you pass wherever you want, you have the full control of your players, and you get that freedom. Replays look good, better than in WE7IJ or PES3. Headers are ALOT better than in WE7I-J or PES3. It looks like Namco will take over, but yet again we`ll see what happens in couple of days/weeks. Looks amazing.. but I`m sticking with WE no matter what !

never heard of it, and although it is better than pes3 and we7 it dont mean that konami wont just step up a level again and come out with another classic for we8 and pes4.

well I have the game, I already posted my views:

The keeper AI is completly stupid sometimes. For example; sometimes you are approaching the goal on the left and you are dribbling to the right and then give a great shot. But the keeper is still at the left site!!!! He doesnt do this once in a match but more times!! Really frustrating....

Another thing: Sometimes we are moaning about WE that the players leg for example disappaers in the other player. Well look at Football Kingdom!! The players dissapaer complete in eachother.

What is good about FK?? Crossing and long balls are really good in this game. You can act like Beckham! Great feeling to give a Beckham ball over 40 yards to the other player! The players also runs good into the Free Space. As mentioned hundreds times before the Net Physics are amazing! Also you can chose about 50 boots!! The Boots arent that good, but he what if WE8 has 50 boots, that would be superd! As you can see, Konami can learn something of this game. I hope Konami realise that and will implent this great features into WE8, then We8 will be Superb!
For now FK is fun to play for some time but is far from the level of the WE series.

The keepers are horrible! The never seem to move. For example If you give a cross from the left corner to the goal. The keeper will always be standing almost next to the Goal. Although the keeper has some nice animations I must admit. But its a shame the keeper is behaving so strange...
The Crossing with triangle also seems very obvious, sometimes I held it very short and you get a fucking hard cross but next time you will have a veryyy slow cross! Is it me again??

Noo I am not very statisfied with this game. If WE had a 9 I would give FK a 7... sa far!
I will play more games see if my opinion changes, but I dont think so.

BTW I do admit Konami can learn something of this game.

As you can see I am not statisfied with this game, maybe I played to less. Cause there are people who find it very good. Look what Ike posted:

- shooting could be better (eg. low powerful shots)
- keepers maybe too good on the line
- 'offside', 'time up' shown on screen
- headers seem too easy
- crowd interaction is sparse
- only 3 zoom modes, 3 height angles, the angle-feature from WE is missing
- short celebration sequence when winning a cup
- only about 8 player values (0-100)

overall, it's not as arcady as i thought, i didn't score many goals, and that was on normal difficulty. FK does a lot of important things right that i always missed in WE, esp. the analog passing and crossing. where in WE the border between having the ball and not having it seems too strict, FK feels more open, the transition is more gentle.

if WE is 9, i'd give Football Kingdom a solid 8. it's definitely the second best football game out there, and a solid base to build a real contender for WE on.

so, fairplay please™!

LOL. Even if this game isn't that good then at least we can hope it will give Konami a kick up the arse. Maybe football kingdom 2 will be much better as this is only a first attempt by Namco after many years out of football gaming.

i would go for we8 and yes, cm5... they said cm5 can be played online...
