I have a U.S. PS2, and I recently got PES 5 in the mail. I also have the NTSC version of swap magic with the slide card and I was wondering if WEmerica's patched version of the game will work with my system. If not, how do some of you guys patch with U.S. playstation 2s?

First of all you simply have to try the game and see if it works. Then let us know what happens.
The game itself is patched, not the console. You would have to apply a patch made for the specific version of the game. A PES5 PS2 patch will only work for PS2 PES5 and cannot be used on any other similar version of the game, like WE9:I.
