Hi everyone

My and my friend play everyweek and are both very good players. Lately he has changed his formation to 3 5 2 like this

----GK----
-----------CB------------------ CB------------------------CB----

------------------------DM-------------DM----------------------

-----------WB--------------------------------------WB----------

-----------------------AM-----------AM-------------------------

-----------------------CF-------------CF------------------------

Would anyone be able to help me with a formation to play against this as lately his been ripping me apart. I am chelsea or brazil if this help

Many Thanks

With 3 cbs it would be useful to have 2 smf as there are no sbs and that weakness could be exploited. I would use a boring and predictable 4-4-2 with 2 fast wingers and a ball-winner in cmf.
Hope this helps. ;)

So he plays 12 players ?

Could you adjust it slightly to the proper formation mate, I'll hopefully be able to give a hand once so.

If he is playing what I think he's playing, 2 DMF and 1 AMF. Then as previously said, a 4-4-2 would probably be best. But not the standard "A-1" 4-4-2 as it will be difficult to build attacks against his narrow 5-man midfield. But I do think a 4-4-2 would be best with an emphasis on wing-play. If he's just playing that 1 AMF, the creative playmaker, then get a solid DMF to man-mark his AMF. This will cut off a lot of his playing and stop many passes getting through. Basically:

Play down the wings.
Man-Mark his AMF with one of your players (preferably DMF).

i guess he meant one AMF, if so, i would recommend that you stick with your formation, any formation will do, but you have adjust your offensive arrows, specially your SBs, make them attack with the offensive arrow,
and try to play long crosses between wingers and midfielders, that will do the job. good luck.

Hey guys. Thanks for the help. Yep, your right. I meant one am. He is also brazil or chelsea. I will definatly give the 442 a go. I think the formation he uses is just 352 a1. Im pretty sure thats just it. I also know he doesnt bother using the attackin arrows on any of his players so really i should have the advantage over him. If somone could post an image or the way my 442 should be with the arrows it would help so much.

Cheers

If you can play with a tall stiker.
Inter milan would be good with IBRAHIMOVIC AND ADRIANO,hit him down the flanks with figo and stefanovic (i think) you should beat him.
Just get adriani shooting on his left foot from outside the box and see what he is made of.
Suck him out to the wings and float the ball in.

I don't really have the time to post up all the details, but make sure you play down the wings. As playing through the middle of a 3-5-2 is almost suicidal. Pick a team with great wingers, and utilise it since he's only playing 3 in defence. Get a tall, strong CF up front too so he can get on the end of crosses from the wingers.
