Have you unlocked the Club Transfer option? I think you might be able to put created players into the teams then. Failing that you can modify any club team player in any way shape or form you wish! Which I think is fantastic so you could just make a copy of the player you have created but modify an existing player to look like him.

I'm sure that you can't put a created player in a club team. modifying players that already exist might be the solution

You are correct Ford Focus, You cannot put created players into a club team directly. My idea of modifying an existing player will work so replace a player you dont like! lol! or just make yourself the Michael Owen of Liverpool Stevie Gerrard.
