How to defend fake shot ?

When my opponent will shoot i will press x for tackle him but he fake shoot and my defender get fool.How to defend this trick ?

I use that shot fake a lot, it's very effective. I think the only way to defend it is to press :R1: and :R2: together ( the super cancel ) so many times if you feel the player is going to shot fake your defender. Try it.

when you hit shoot and the power bar is on screen press x and they'll fake a shot =)

what I tend to do is back off the player, he can fake shot all he wants but challenge them just after the shot has been faked!
