To start off let me tell you a little about myself. I play games on the PC so I switched from playing FIFA to PES since 2009. What I really liked about PES was that the game was identical to the consoles. FIFA 11 is still not identical to the consoles for the PC. When I first played PES 2009 the shooting was a little different, penalty kicks were little different from what I was used to in FIFA but I was absolutely thrilled with revolutionary gameplay of PES such as the referee running up to you to book you, training mode where players come on and off the bench, injured players resting on the sidelines receiving treatment, etc. These things FIFA did not offer. Also FIFA 09 on the PC was absolutely terrible, the players did not look human, they looked like freaks of nature and the pitch looked unrealistic. I have been stubborn over the years so naturally I picked up PES 2011 prior to picking up FIFA 11. However, the penalty has gotten even worse! The shooting still is bad. How can a person miss by so much from so close? The problem about the shooting is that it is very sensitive; too sensitive that you feel like you can't get a real good kick out of a ball if you are trying to score. I played PES 2011 from the point it was released until 2 weeks ago where I installed my FIFA 11 and began playing. The players' likeness to their real life counter-parts is still slightly off on the PC because this is a FIFA 10 port of the consoles but the gameplay was much more enjoyable. I was very very satisfied with the shooting. Back to the graphics, on PES 2011 if you look at the player jerseys, they look very computerized. However, the players and jerseys look much more sophisticated and provide a sense of reality on FIFA 11. The PES editing is by far superior to FIFA 11 but the shooting needs a lot of work. I HATE the shooting on PES. If you do not have a copy of FIFA 11, go borrow it from someone and try playing it, your desire of getting a good knock out of a soccer ball will be fully satisfied. To emphasize the need for improvement, if you look up PES 2011 penalty, you would get a search results comprising of numerous tutorials because the mechanism behind shooting a penalty is overly complicated.
