Issue with saved data

So i have an european and an american account/user.
I've started an ML using the european account.
Today i created an american account so that i can get updates and DLC, since i have the us version of pes 2012. I copied the saved data of the ML from the european user to the american, and now i can't load it when i log on with the american account.

Is this really happening? Back in the old days on ps 2 we could easily load saved data on any ps2 using memory card. Is there some way to get around this problem i'm having?
I have to log on with the american account every time i play in order to the DLC to have effect right?

You don't need to create a specific account to play any version of a game on PS3, because it is region free.
I got PES2009 and 2010 UK versions, and played them with my american account.
Both games got their UK DLC without problems. No need of UK account.
You're just complicating things.
