**Joypad button sensitivity issue**

This is an issue I feel must be resolved with a patch, but must definitely be finalised by the time PES4 is being released. Before we go on, I must add I use this as my button configuation:

Circle = Shoot
Square = Long Pass, Lob
X = Pass
Triangle = Run

Yes they are the settings of FIFA but when I had my SNES with ISS Extreme, I loved the shoot button where it is from the FIFA games.

Anyway, this must be resolved for the following issues:

- Penalty Kicks
- Tapping in at close range or rebound

Some may say that corners and free-kicks are difficult too, which they are as you don't have the 256 degree pressure control as you do with a Dual Shock 2 and PS2, but I find the PK's and tap-ins the most annoying and I believe the PK situation could be solved very easily.

Penalty Kicks:

Simple enough, you tap your shoot button left or right and I can guarantee that you'll hit the post 8 times out of 10 and have it deflected either away for a goal kick or straight to a defender. I have to just tap the shoot button now and hope for the best as I've got sick of the amount of times the ball has hit the post when all I wanted to do is tap it in the corner (placing it if you will).

The stat of the player doesnt matter, I've given players with high accuracy and a crappy power and they still manage to power it off the woodwork.

This can be solved easily, in my opinion:

Give us 3 buttons of power to choose from (like some other footy games):

X = Tap in (Low Power)
Square = Medium Power
Circle = Blaster (High Power)

Tapping in at close range:

Now this is where Konami must reconfigure the control system, because this is bloody terrible to its PS2 counter-part.

Play the PS2 version and you'll find a featherweight touch on the circle button and you'll get a gnats knacker of power to tap the ball into the back of the net, now as I've discussed before you don't have this "pressure capability" with the PC so just lightly touching the button and your game will not respond, the button has to be fully pressed for it to register - now I've tried and tried again to get that gnats knacker of power and I always get a half power bar whenever I try this.

For example:

PS2 tap in:
-

PC tap in:
-----

Full bar:
----------

The difference this makes in my honest opinion is that when playing the PS2 version you can perfectly time your shots with the right power and with the PC version you can sometimes (and by sometimes I mean 3 out of 10 attempts) get it right or you just have to get a perfect line on with the goalie and power it home or cross it in and get headers (which is bloody boring, I wanna run at the defence and give 'em a good run around with some ball control).

Cross in and headering is the only way I can score 8 times out of 10... lobbing over the keeper, which I love to do on the PS2 is impossible on PC because of this button sensitivity issue.

I know thats alot to read through, but I've been playing with settings all week and I thought I'd share my findings - of course if you know anyways to solve these flaws so I can score my fave goals - and play the game the way I want to play it... then please tell me.

For now though I'll be going back to my PS2 version :)

Some good ideas in there Ryan, like different buttons for different types of penalty kick strength (I recall ISS on the N64 had that). As for scoring I'm surprised that you score mainly with cross-headers cos I find that's the most difficult way to score mainly cos the cross-curling system is new to me seeing as this is my first time playing a Pro Evo (after a few years on ISS). I personally would like to see the ball being like on the ISS on the N64 whereby you hold down the trigger (or shoulder button) and then use the d-pad or analog stick to curve the ball in whatever direction you want.
