Anyone know if the algorithm recognises these? There is a manual long pass [ hold L2 + (L) + O ], and manual through ball [ hold L2 + (L) + 'triangle' ], but no mention of manual lobbed through ball.

Just take passing assist off and use your normal through ball?

And how do you mean ''if the algorithm recognises these?'' didn't make sense to me mate.
