My ML team (Real Madrid) which is now in the Year 2007 has become:

Mark Townsend (Okay so he may have exploded stats but he is still in my team)

There are also a couple of good Italian defenders in my team but I can't remember their names off the top of my head.

The way that I chose my players however was to choose the players with the best likeness. I am still relatively new to Pro Evolution 4 so I am still getting used to just how good the player likenesses are. That probably isn't the best basis upon which to build a team, but it was good enough for me, and generally speaking the players with the likenesses are the star players at the moment.

I would by lying if I said that this was a plan for the future though. [:)]

I look forward to hearing about other people's teams. Preferably if they are in the same season as I am, not least because it will give me some ideas on up and coming players.

I got Kaka, Solari and Lahm on frees after the first season.

The rest were bought, apart from Valeny of course.

I need another good central defender.

I can highly recommend Samuel from Real Madrid. He is very highly rated with regards to defence, has a lot of height for winning headers, and also has quite a respectable speed for a big guy.

Obviously you could also go for Sol Campbell, but a Spurs fan didn't just tell you that!
