My game has stuffed up

I've had pes5 for about 3 weeks, and have been playing it and enjoying. Then all of a sudden I was in the menu that comes up before begginning a match and my computer froze. I reinstalled the game and that stopped, but now every time the game would go to a cutscene mid-game (i.e. goal celebrations, ref giving a card etc.) a window pops up saying this program has performed an illegal operation or some such junk, and quits the game. I have reinstalled it again, but it just keeps happening. It is infuriating, and I can't think of any reason why it might be occuring.

My CPU is an AMD 64 bit 3500+, and my video card is a Radeon X800

Can anyone help? I would be greatly appreciative.
