New improvements for PES6

Been playing PES6 on the PS2 for a while now and have decided that the gameplay has improved, if only slightly....the first thing you notice when playing is the body physics when receiving or making a pass, or shooting...it actually ressembles the body shape as it would be rather than in previous PES games...For example what stands out the most for me is the way a player crosses the ball...before i would run down the line like a train to cross it just before it reached the by-line and the player would cross it but his bodyshape would look all wrong whereas in PES6 you can dribble down the wing press R2 to stop the press simultaneously R1 and R2 which will allow the player to knock the ball infront of him and the cross the ball like poetry in motion....

I've also noticed the goalkeeper AI has been improved alot which makes for more interesting games....also i find that when playing with a top team ie...Barca, Chelsea, Madrid or AC Milan and play against a weaker lower relegation opponents i find that the weaker team will begin the game playing quite attacking and giving it their all but come towards the beginning of the second half the true class shows of the better team...it really is quite realistic!

Glad to hear that people like the PES6 because of the gameplay and the AI, since both are the most important features to me. :)

So you traded the 360 version you aquired from that strange guy outside the cafe in then? ;)

PES6 is great. I'm just waiting for the option file at the minute before I start adding/editing players etc.

I will admit to being slightly frustrated at times by the goalkeeping. On one occassion the computer crossed low and the keeper just watched it go behind him and allowed their attacker to get in and score. Annoying. One on ones appear to be certain goals, too. However, this is much like real life to be honest. How many times does a striker miss a one on one opportunity? He has the odds stacked against a keeper in my opinion. Parrying shots is a good addition too. I watched Milan v Inter the other night on Bravo I think, and Dida parried Ibrahimovic's shot straight into the net. Lampards goal at the weeked, the keeper dived and it went right over him when it was easier to save. Things like this improve my perception on the AI of PES6, when people still moan about how the keepers parry shots and knock them into their own goals. It happens EVERY week in REAL football, which is what this game is supposed to represent.

Love the game, like I've loved every other release. Cant wait for the Option File to be released now with the updated kits. :)

One way I like to see the goalkeeping in PES6 is that it makes the game harder. I don't think its intentional on the part of Konami, but logically speaking you've got to defend better in the knowledge that your keeper could "pull a Reina" at any moment. Combined with the fact that defending against the computer is quite hard anyway (I reckon) you get more of a challenge.
