In an interview granted to the Japanese magazine Famitsu, the producer of the Winning Eleven series, Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka indicated that there would be no online option present in Winning Eleven 8. However, he also stated that the development team have been working extremely hard on trying to include online play, and that it should not be too long before it appears in a Winning Eleven game.
Another small piece of information concerned the high-through pass (L1 + :triangle: ). It will now apparently have a power bar, or meter, which means the pass will also depend on the length of time you hold down the triangle button. Seabass also commented that a large amount of work was required on the AI to accomodate the on-screen referee who now appears during the game.
More Winning Eleven 8 screenshots and information should be released within the next week.
